Encouraging Devotion at St. Theresa Girls’ School, Kabale
At St. Theresa Girls’ School in Kabale, our ministry had the blessed privilege of spending time with the students, sharing the message of God’s love and encouraging them to cultivate a deep relationship with Christ. We exhorted the young women to love Jesus wholeheartedly and to nurture a tender devotion to His Blessed Mother, the Virgin Mary.
During our time there, we emphasized the importance of praying the Holy Rosary—a simple yet profoundly powerful prayer that draws the heart into the mysteries of Christ’s life. We reminded the students that every “Hail Mary” is a step closer to Jesus, for through Mary’s intercession, grace flows abundantly into our lives.
We shared with them that the Blessed Virgin Mary is the “shortest, simplest, and easiest path to Christ.” As a loving mother, she does not keep us for herself but gently leads us to her Son, teaching us obedience, humility, and steadfast faith. Quoting St. Louis de Montfort, we reflected on his timeless words: “To Jesus through Mary.” It is through her that the Word became flesh, and it is through her that we are drawn more perfectly into communion with Him.
We also encouraged the students to see Mary not only as the Mother of Jesus but also as their own spiritual Mother, who watches over them with care and compassion. In their studies, friendships, and daily challenges, she remains a faithful companion and guide.
Our prayer for the young women of St. Theresa Girls’ School is that they may continue to grow in faith, purity, and love, allowing Mary to form Christ within their hearts. For those who walk with her, the journey to Jesus becomes one of joy, peace, and divine purpose.
